AMS is a company comprised of an excellent, well motivated team of experienced ARCA trained personnel determined to ensure the safe determination and removal of materials containing asbestos and other regulated substances.
AMS provides an efficient, reliable and safety-conscious service which is at all times cognisant and in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Control of Asbestos Regulations and applicable associated regulatory requirements.
Working together with a controlled demolition specialist, AMS completed the complicated asbestos removal works to a large, inner-city, infant school complex.
The works formed part of a private finance initiative funded, phased urban renewal scheme, and were necessary to allow the infant school buildings to be demolished as part of the redevelopment of the site by a national construction company.
The works were undertaken on an occupied school campus which included a newly built infant school and an existing junior school and community college.
AMS provided additional background and reassurance air testing, through an independent analytical company during the removal works to provide further reassurance to the client, occupants of the school sites and neighbours that the demolition works were being undertaken without any release of asbestos fibres to the atmosphere.
AMS also provided DVD recordings of the removal works, filmed via closed circuit television within all of the working enclosures, to enable the main contractor to use this project for in-house training purposes nationwide.
Again these works were completed to the satisfaction of the main contractor within the timescale specified and to the agreed budget.
Following very positive feedback expressed by the client, AMS have been retained to undertake the asbestos removal works from the remaining school buildings which are to be demolished during the next phases of the redevelopment.
