AMS enjoys a good reputation working in partnership with construction industry contractors and property developers, particularly when the property is occupied requiring a sympathetic approach and empathy for the client’s needs.
AMS will always go to great effort in difficult situations to satisfy their clients’ requirements with the minimum of disruption.
AMS is a company comprised of an excellent, well motivated team of experienced ARCA trained personnel determined to ensure the safe determination and removal of materials containing asbestos and other regulated substances.
AMS provides an efficient, reliable and safety-conscious service which is at all times cognisant and in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Control of Asbestos Regulations and applicable associated regulatory requirements.

AMS has been awarded the contract to undertake the full survey of a historic, former textile mill complex on the edge of a busy market town in Somerset.
The site is being redeveloped from its current semi-derelict state to provide a large, sustainable complex of houses, apartments, live-work units and public amenity buildings by a major development company.
Following the completion of a programme of extensive asbestos surveys, AMS were selected to undertake the removal of all licensable asbestos containing materials throughout the whole site.
The asbestos removal works were complicated by the derelict state of a large number of the buildings across the site and the very poor condition of the various asbestos containing materials. A specialist scaffolding sub-contractor, holding an HSE licence to work with asbestos, was employed by AMS to provide appropriate temporary support to allow the removal works to be undertaken in a safe manner, without the risk of collapse of the existing structures.
Furthermore, due to the historic nature of the site, English Heritage was closely involved in the works to ensure that the industrial archaeology of the site could be recorded and preserved as the works proceeded.
Environmental issues were also considerable and ranged from the risk of contamination of local water courses to the preservation of protected animal species across the site. Working in close collaboration with the client, the asbestos removal works were carried out to an agreed programme.
